Wearing Gemstone Jewelry
Bracelets
Some believe that the left represents the feminine side and the right the masculine side, which could imply that certain gems would be best worn on the side consistent with their feminine or masculine characteristics or to achieve balance if you are tending more toward one aspect at a given time. Others believe that the hand you write with or your dominant hand is your projective hand while the other one is your receptive hand. A bracelet on your dominant hand would project what attributes you want from the stones you have chosen to wear. Wearing them on the left would allow you to receive the attributes you want from the stones. For example, if you wanted to project power, strength, and courage, you would wear black onyx and tiger's eye bracelets on your right wrist. If you needed an intelligence boost or extra analytical abilities, you would wear amethyst and flourite on your left wrist.
While these theories help focus your intent, everybody is different. The stones will work however you want them to if you empower them, wear them for a purposed, and remain aware of them. They basically act as an energy booster and focus point. Having them on just helps you remember why you wore them in the first place, much like a string around the finger acts as a reminder for some people.
Rings
Where you wear a specific stone depends on the area on which you want to focus. Each of your fingers represents a different aspect of your being, as represented below:
- Thumb - represents or impacts your head and thoughts
- Pointing finger - represents or impacts your ego
- Middle finger - represents or impacts your sexuality
- Ring finger - represents or impacts your feelings and emotions; it involves your heart
- Pinkie or little finger - represents or impacts your heart
